1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of metovia.co.uk and the private medical services provided by Dr Anzal Qurbain MBBS BSc(Hons) MBA FFPM (GMC 4369286), trading as Metovia ("we", "us", "Dr Qurbain"). By using this website or booking a consultation, you agree to these terms.

2. Nature of the service

Metovia provides private medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment and prescribing services. We are a private practice and do not provide emergency medical care. If you have a medical emergency, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department.

Our services are not a substitute for ongoing NHS care. We strongly encourage all patients to maintain registration with an NHS GP and to share relevant information about private treatment with their NHS care team.

3. Eligibility

Our services are available to adults aged 18 and over who are resident in the United Kingdom. Some services may have additional eligibility criteria (for example, GLP-1 prescribing requires meeting NICE BMI and comorbidity criteria). Eligibility is assessed at the initial consultation.

5. Fees and payment

Consultation fees are quoted on our website and confirmed at the time of booking. Fees are payable in advance or at the time of consultation unless otherwise agreed. Prescription charges may be in addition to the consultation fee.

All fees are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

6. Prescriptions

Private prescriptions will only be issued following a proper clinical assessment. We do not issue prescriptions without a consultation. Prescriptions are issued at our clinical discretion and may be declined where not clinically appropriate.

We are unable to prescribe controlled drugs or certain high-risk medications remotely without appropriate safeguards.

We provide evidence-based medical care but cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Medicine involves uncertainty and individual variation in treatment response. We will always discuss the benefits, risks and alternatives of any proposed treatment.

This website provides general health information only. It is not a substitute for a medical consultation and should not be used to self-diagnose or self-treat.

9. Complaints

We take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please contact us at hello@metovia.co.uk in the first instance. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.

You also have the right to raise concerns with the General Medical Council (gmc-uk.org) or NHS England.

10. Regulatory information

Dr Anzal Qurbain is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC number 4369286) and practices in accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice. You can verify registration at gmc-uk.org.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be notified on our website.
